The Youth Leadership Conference is a dynamic, hands-on experience designed to inspire and prepare high school students to become the next generation of leaders. Through engaging sessions, team activities, and networking, students gain valuable insights into leadership, communication, and the cooperative difference.

WHAT MAKES YLC DIFFERENT?
YLC is more than just a leadership conference! It's a unique experience shaped by students, for students. Each year, an elected WECA Youth Board helps plan the following summer's conference, bringing fresh ideas and a student perspective to the event.
- Students attend at no cost through sponsorship from their local electric cooperative.
- Attendees spend three days living and learning on a college campus.
- Youth board members help plan the next conference and may earn the opportunity to attend the Youth Tour in Washington, D.C.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
- High school students whose families are members of a Wisconsin electric cooperative.
- Students actively involved in their school and community.
HOW TO REGISTER
- Contact your local participating electric cooperative for sponsorship and registration information.
- Complete and submit all required registration forms to your sponsoring electric cooperative by June 18, 2027.
