THE POWER OF POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT
Political Action
Electric cooperatives were built on the power of people working together. That same grassroots spirit drives our advocacy efforts at the State Capitol and in Washington, D.C.
Decisions made by elected officials have a direct impact on the affordability and reliability of electricity, the future of our energy infrastructure, and the communities our cooperatives serve. Having a strong voice in the political process helps ensure that cooperative priorities are heard and understood.
Why Political Engagement Matters
Political engagement isn't about political parties. It's about supporting policymakers who understand the unique needs of electric cooperatives and the members they serve.
Through America's Electric Cooperatives PAC and Wisconsin's Electric Cooperatives PAC, cooperative employees, directors, and eligible members have opportunities to participate in the political process and support candidates who recognize the importance of reliable, affordable electricity and local control.
Make Your Voice Count
Strong advocacy starts with engaged members. By participating in our political action programs, you're helping build relationships with policymakers, strengthen the cooperative voice, and protect the interests of Wisconsin's electric cooperatives.
Your participation makes a difference. Together, we can help shape an energy future that puts cooperative members and their communities first.
Wisconsin’s electric cooperatives provide electric service to nearly 600,000 Wisconsinites and engage their members on issues that matter. Co-ops Vote is a non-partisan project of America's Electric Cooperatives designed to inform co-op members on the key issues facing electric co-ops and encourage them to vote and support their co-ops and the communities they serve when they go to the polls. We do not endorse or recommend any candidates for election. For additional resources, including how to register to vote please visit: https://www.vote.coop.
